Linux / Open Source Certifications
There are a number of certification programs available for Linux candidates.

MySQL Core Certification and MySQL Professional Certification
The MySQL Certification Program is a high quality certification program that provides developers and DBAs with the credentials to prove they have the knowledge, experience and skills to use and manage MySQL Server. MySQL offers two tiers of certification:

The MySQL Core Certification proves you have mastered the fundamental skills of using MySQL including creating and using databases and tables, inserting, modifying, deleting, and retrieving data

The MySQL Professional Certification proves you have mastered the ability to manage MySQL Server including such advanced areas of database management, installation, security, disaster prevention and optimization.

Red Hat Certified Engineer Program (RHCE) and (RHCT)
RHCE and RHCT are performance-based tests that measure competency on live systems. While some training programs teach students to answer multiple choice questions, Red Hat programs teach students how to perform on real-world systems by focusing on practical hands-on skills.

Linux Professional Institute Certification
The Linux Professional Institute believes in the need for a standardized, multi-national, and respected program to certify levels of individual expertise in Linux. This program must be able to satisfy the requirements of Linux professionals, as well as organizations which would employ or contract them.

CompTIA Linux+ Certification
The CompTIA Linux+ certification is a new standard of competency for technicians with at least six months of experience installing, operating and maintaining Linux operating systems.
